Second Wave For ZeroHour Version Beta 2.5

Introduction

SecondWave is a mod produced by the CnC Matrix mod team, the mod aims to tweak and improve on Command and Conquer Generals. This version of the mod is the first version of the mod recoded for ZeroHour the mod contains aprox 30 units and several new structures plus lots of other cool changes. The new units and structures have been added using both custom models and unused models made by EA. Beta 2.2 includes a entire new side the UK, there is no real story line as yet for SecondWave we may write one if we decide to make a campaign but the basic idea is that the war with the GLA is dragging on so the US and China are calling in reinforcements in the form of the UK and there own new units and structures. The first version for ZeroHour sees both China and USA getting new tanks in the form of the Type 98 and M1A3 Abram’s. The UK also gets a new dozer model and a couple of new skins.

Pillbox: The USA pillbox is a bunker like building which is equipped with high calibre anti infantry machine guns which can mow down lines of advancing infantry.

Known Issues

Walls don’t actually build there just placed
AI don’t use new buildings/units
Sometimes new units get stuck while moving
Samaritan won't target units for repair you will have to force fire by holding down CTRL then targeting

Working With Worldbuilder
Version 2.5 is the first version of SecondWave to be world builder compatible after the ZeroHour version of world builder was made compatible with mods. But unfortunately world builder still does not work with the –mod command switch which SecondWave uses. So to use world builder with SecondWave you need to first extract the mod to your Generals directory. This can be done using a big extractor such as, Final Big (http://www.wagnerma.de/yinger/showdownload.php?detail=1) once you have downloaded and installed this software open the SecondWaveZH.big file which you can find in your Command and Conquer Generals Data folder. Once opened extract all files to your generals directory.

Now your set just start world builder as normal and click ignore on any errors which come up (there will be a few).
