Smurfbizkit On Blitzkrieg 2 For Generals <<

 

Malc: You announced a few weeks ago Blitzkrieg 2 and from the screen shots it looks like you’ve got a good start could you give us a time frame (not a date) of a possible release, I mean 2 – 3 months 6 months 1 year +

 

Smurfbizkit: Blitzkrieg II has been in the works for a couple months now, largely due to the fact that nearly the entire team received beta disks of Generals. Most of the work done so far has been ini research and the very time consuming modeling/skinning process. Right now we have a good deal done, and I would expect to see Blitzkrieg II out by the summer(if not sooner).

Malc:
Blitzkrieg 1 was a big success how do you plan on keeping the momentum up on Blitz 2?

Personally I (along with a good number of the rest of the team) thought that Blitzkrieg I could have been much better. As for the "momentum" for that mod....we only had it a few times and mostly near the end. I plan on keeping it up for Blitzkrieg II by releasing frequently...more akin to how Deezire released his versions for Ra2.

 

Malc: Will blitz 2 have any new features never seen before in Generals or Blitz 1?

 

Smurfbizkit: Personally I (along with a good number of the rest of the team) thought that Blitzkrieg I could have been much better. As for the "momentum" for that mod....we only had it a few times and mostly near the end. Malc: Will blitz 2 have any new features never seen before in Generals or Blitz 1?

 

Smurfbizkit: We'll have plenty of new features...I won't talk about them untill we are 100% sure that they will work the way we want them though. Lets just say that EAP left in a lot of unused code for us to play with.

 

Malc: Blitz 1 concentrated a lot of realism will Generals concentrate more on balance or again on realism?

 

Smurfbizkit: Blitzkrieg II will try to have as good of a gameplay and realism balance, but if it comes down to it, gameplay will win. Although I doubt we'll have to sacrifice much of realism...since we have so many more possibilities in Generals. We can actually make Blitzkrieg II much more realistic than Blitzkrieg I, yet have better gameplay.

Malc: Any chance of some exclusive screens?

 

Smurfbizkit: Maybe once we get our internal alpha in testing
